Originally from Newburyport, Massachusetts, just north of Boston, Megan grew up on the Merrimac River, boating, fishing and pulling lobster traps.  Her experience in the industry includes stints with Newburyport Marina, Nantucket Boat Basin, Boston Yacht Haven, Yacht Haven Grande St Thomas, Miami Beach Marina and Bahia Mar Marina.

Overseeing one of the East Coast’s premier marinas, we asked Megan what is the key to managing this world-class facility? Megan points to those who work alongside her on the dock.

“We have an amazing team at Pier Sixty-Six,” she said. “Making sure our guests are happy and we serve all of their needs is our number one priority; and so I am very hands-on in working with our staff to deliver on this promise. We are all determined to make the experience at the Marina the very best.”

In addition to overseeing all Marina operations, Megan also finds the time to give back to the community.  She and her team are currently supporting #1000Mermaids and 4Ocean, two organizations working to preserve the waterways and marine habitats of South Florida. Megan is also involved with Junior Achievement, where she helped to launch the new “Sea the World” exhibit that encourages young people to pursue careers in the marine industry. She is being recognized in December as a March of Dimes Woman of Distinction for her dedication to giving back.

She added, “I love being a part of this team and special destination. But even more, I am excited for the future of Pier Sixty-Six.”
