Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina Hires New Head of Development and Construction

Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina is excited to welcome Chris Gandolfo as Vice President where he will lead and oversee the development and construction of the iconic property’s revitalization.

Gandolfo brings a wealth of experience in assembling high performance, innovative teams for mixed-use development projects including hotel, high-rise residential, office, and retail.  He has a proven-track record of turning ideas and concepts into reality by maximizing development potential for all stakeholders. He comes to Pier Sixty-Six from Swire Properties, where he spent 20 years overseeing and executing complex, large-scale development projects in the United States and China. Notably, he managed the Brickell City Centre Development through completion. Other projects successfully developed in Miami during his tenure with Swire Properties include Asia Condominiums, Jade Condominium, and The Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

Tavistock’s initial site plans focus on restoring and enhancing the existing Pier Sixty-Six Hotel property while preserving the integrity of the Pier Tower, which will be designated historic once the project is complete. The new Pier Sixty-Six Hotel & Marina will attract guests from across the globe and serve as the social harbor of Fort Lauderdale.
